We are currently seeking a full-time Facility Management Director (m/f/d) to join our team on an indefinite contract starting immediately.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading the Facility Management department, which includes technical, infrastructure, and commercial building management, and overseeing a team of over 20 employees Ensuring the functionality and safe operation of technical systems, general infrastructure, and building equipment Strategic planning, management, and maintenance of the institute and its technical infrastructure, while adhering to sustainability and ecological principles Acting as a liaison between management, external construction teams, and all parties involved in construction projects Serving as the main point of contact for all user-related inquiries regarding building and technical measures, from planning to commissioning Coordinating and providing technical support for ongoing maintenance and construction projects Commercial management, including administration and monitoring of maintenance contracts, as well as preparing bids and contracts for external companies in collaboration with the administration Actively participating in the implementation and development of the Max Planck Society's Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) system, "Archibus" Ensuring compliance with workplace, environmental, safety, and security regulations at the institute Coordinating the use of external companies and framework partners Your profile: You have a degree in Facility Management, Technical Building Management, or a related engineering field, or equivalent qualifications and experience.

You have relevant experience as a leader with strong technical and social skills, as well
