    Position Summary

    The Executive Chef will oversee all culinary operations across several restaurants, lounges, banquets, and in-room dining. You'll lead a large, diverse culinary team, driving consistency, creativity, financial performance, and operational excellence while upholding the standards of a flagship hospitality brand.

    This role calls for a leader who can balance refinement with scale—someone with the vision to evolve menus, elevate quality, and shape the property's culinary identity in a competitive coastal market.

    What You'll Lead

    • Multiple full-service restaurants with distinct concepts
    • A high-volume bar & lounge program
    • A bustling banquets operation serving corporate conferences, galas, and waterfront weddings
    • In-room dining and VIP experiences
    • A large, diverse culinary brigade with seasoned sous chefs and rising talent

    Key Responsibilities

    Culinary Leadership & Innovation

    • Develop and execute seasonal menus highlighting coastal influences, global inspiration, and fresh regional ingredients.
    • Stay ahead of culinary trends, ensuring the hotel remains a leader in the local dining scene.
    • Champion consistency and excellence across all meal periods and outlets.

    Operational & Financial Stewardship

    • Oversee food cost, labor cost, inventory, and purchasing strategies to achieve financial targets.
    • Ensure all kitchens operate with the highest standards for safety, sanitation, and efficiency.
    • Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Catering, and F&B Directors on forecasting and strategic planning.

    Team Development & Culture

    • Lead, mentor, and inspire a large culinary staff, fostering a culture of learning, pride, and accountability.
    • Recruit and train top culinary talent while creating pathways for internal career advancement.
    • Build strong relationships between BOH and FOH teams to support seamless service execution.

    Guest Experience & Brand Alignment

    • Ensure every plate reflects the property's identity and delivers a memorable guest experience.
    • Participate in VIP events, media opportunities, and menu showcases as the culinary face of the hotel.
    • Maintain brand standards while infusing originality and local flair.

    Ideal Candidate Profile

    • Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef experience within a large luxury hotel, resort, or high-volume multi-outlet operation.
    • Proven success in overseeing banquets of 1,000+ guests.
    • Strong leadership style with an ability to balance creativity, organization, and business acumen.
    • Expertise with coastal, contemporary American, Mediterranean, or globally inspired cuisine preferred.
    • A passion for innovation, sustainability, and sourcing quality ingredients.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with seasonal fluctuations and complex event demands.
