Job Summary:

Spend an incredible summer working with kids at Camp Zeke Camp Zeke celebrates healthy, active living through whole foods, sports, fitness, and culinary arts We are located on 560 serene acres in Northeastern, PA, and have campers ages 7-17.

We are looking for a baseball coach to join our team from June 2- August 11, 2024. This position is an in-bunk position, meaning that you will be a counselor living with and mentoring our campers.

As a Baseball Coach, you will be responsible for training and developing players' skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive and inclusive environment.

Your passion for the sport and ability to inspire athletes will be key in helping our team succeed.

Duties:

Develop practice plans and lead team practices to improve players' skills in areas such as hitting, pitching, fielding, and base running
Provide individualized coaching and feedback to players to enhance their performance
Teach players the rules and strategies of the game, emphasizing sportsmanship and fair play
Motivate and inspire players to reach their full potential both on and off the field
Ensure the safety of all players by implementing proper warmup exercises and injury prevention techniques
Responsible for the wellbeing of campers & showing them an amazing summer of growth
Live in a cabin with up to twelve campers and three cocounselors

Skills:

Strong knowledge of baseball rules, techniques, and strategies
Excellent communication skills to effectively convey instructions and provide feedback to players
Ability to manage behavior and maintain discipline
Experience working with students or children in a coaching or teaching capacity would be ideal
Background in physical education or experience in health clubs, gyms, or childcare settings is a plus
