Description

The Assistant Manager of Facilities Operations will be responsible for the leadership, direction, administration and support of Facilities Maintenance operations accountable for achieving continuous improvement in resort quality and departmental productivity through daily inspections and audits.

Additionally, implementing solutions providing team members with support, training, coaching and counseling. This role may include safety, maintenance, housekeeping, warehouse, and inventory management operations. This position operates with limited supervision by resort senior leadership.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS

  • Provides leadership, direction, and support for maintenance teams, following all company prescribed maintenance programs, including the supervision, training, and development of team members
  • Ensures financial responsibility through budget management, execution of regular inventory counts and ordering, Vendor management, proper Team Member scheduling, and cost control implementation
  • Ensures compliance with all Safety and Brand Standards as well as all national and local laws, including OSHA and NFPA regulations, along with maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Ensures customer satisfaction through response to guest comments/requests in a timely and professional manner, setting the example of service for team members, and identification of improvements to products/services
  • Utilize all company systems of management and operations to record, track, monitor and manage information and data

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervises front line team members

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School or equivalent
  • MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English
  • 13 years hospitality maintenance engineering technician experience

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Facilities Certification CEOE, IFMA, or FMA are desired
  • Certified Pool Operator certification within 90 days of hire
  • CPR/First Aid/AED Training
  • Must have valid driver's license
  • May require certain current state certification or licensing

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic working knowledge of trade skills and vendor/contractor management
  • Basic level knowledge of maintenance engineering management and building physical plant systems
  • Basic level understanding of housekeeping and laundry operations
  • Demonstrated basic project management
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate, prevent and solve complex problems and deliver consistently highquality results in a fastpaced setting
  • Strong demonstrated written and verbal communication skills in English required
  • Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver's license, and minimum of 4 years of driving experience
  • May not have any Type A violations in the last three (3) years; (which include, but are not limited to, DWI, DUI, refusing a substance test, driving with an open container of alcohol, reckless driving, hit and run, fleeing a police officer, racing, driving while license is revoked or suspended, manslaughter or any felony)
  • May not have more than two (2) Type B moving violations in the last three (3) years; (includes most driving violations such as speeding, improper lane change, failure to yield or obey a traffic signal or sign, license suspension or at fault accidents
  • May not have more than one atfault accident within last three (3) years
  • May not have one (1) Type B moving violation and one (1) atfault accident within three (3) years

PHYSICAL DEMANDS


While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

Will be required to bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and operate office machinery. Must be able to lift to thirty pounds. Specific work assignments may change without notice. WORKING CONDITIONS


Most of the work will be performed out on property, in and out of climate-controlled environment, and may be exposed to inclement weather and varying degrees of temperature.


WORKING CONDITIONS
Schedules will vary depending on business needs, and may entail working nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be flexible to work outside of departmental operating hours.
