    Description

    Summary:
    Receives, unpacks, checks, and stores merchandise or materials. Fills requisitions and orders. Packs, crates, and ships products and materials to distribution center, departments, or assembly line. May operate forklift if qualified. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks within the warehouse operation. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


    • Able to communicate and work along with all employees.
    • Maintain work level that is compliant with the shift managers expectations in order to hit daily production goals.
    • Hands on type of environment, loading and unloading of cartons, freight, and merchandise in general.
    • Maintain orderly and clean work area in compliance with company safety and sanitation requirements.
    • Operate industrial power equipment such as forklifts, hand scanners, conveyors, computers, etc.
    • Perform general maintenance.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures.
    • Fill in for other positions as needed.
    • Perform general warehouse and production service duties.
    • Daily bending, kneeling, lifting of 50+ pounds and climbing.

    Education and/or Experience

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Language Skills
    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

    Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

    Mathematical Skills
    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    Reasoning Ability
    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Computer Skills

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Excel Spreadsheet software and MS Word Processing software and MS Outlook.


    Other Skills and Abilities
    Spanish is helpful, but not necessary.
