Position Overview:
- Ensures data quality by reviewing laboratory data, workflows, documentation, and procedures with the goal of assuring data of known quality and accuracy
- Meet the expectations of our clients by efficient review of defensible data on time
- Competent operating within the laboratory's Quality Management System (QMS)
- Becomes familiar with for the methods associated with the testing performed by the laboratory facilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review of customer data to ensure its compliance with McKinney Specialty Labs (MSL) LLC, QMS, reference methods, and the customers' requirements
- Comply with McKinneySL's Quality Assurance Program and other policies
- Comply with McKinneySL's Health and Safety Plan
- Other duties as assigned
Necessary Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - Associates degree (or higher) in a chemical, biological, and/or environmental science discipline
- Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 1+ years') or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Preferred Skills:
- Working knowledge of analytical methods, analytical instruments, general lab practices and lab safety
- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, table and graph generation and use of applicable computer software
- Ability to collaborate with lab team members to gather, interpret and consolidate data, generate documentation and reports
- Ability to work independently, managing multiple responsibilities
- Well organized and have an attention to detail
- Editorial and proofreading skills
- Must be flexible in work schedule (including Saturday) and able to work overtime
- Good organization and communication skills
