Position Overview:


  • Ensures data quality by reviewing laboratory data, workflows, documentation, and procedures with the goal of assuring data of known quality and accuracy
  • Meet the expectations of our clients by efficient review of defensible data on time
  • Competent operating within the laboratory's Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Becomes familiar with for the methods associated with the testing performed by the laboratory facilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Review of customer data to ensure its compliance with McKinney Specialty Labs (MSL) LLC, QMS, reference methods, and the customers' requirements
  • Comply with McKinneySL's Quality Assurance Program and other policies
  • Comply with McKinneySL's Health and Safety Plan
  • Other duties as assigned

Necessary Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Associates degree (or higher) in a chemical, biological, and/or environmental science discipline
  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 1+ years') or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Preferred Skills:


  • Working knowledge of analytical methods, analytical instruments, general lab practices and lab safety
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, table and graph generation and use of applicable computer software
  • Ability to collaborate with lab team members to gather, interpret and consolidate data, generate documentation and reports
  • Ability to work independently, managing multiple responsibilities
  • Well organized and have an attention to detail
  • Editorial and proofreading skills
  • Must be flexible in work schedule (including Saturday) and able to work overtime
  • Good organization and communication skills
