- Prepare and oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant accounting standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and manage the annual budget.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance against the budget, providing regular reports and recommendations for adjustments.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost control or revenue enhancement.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic planning and decision-making
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and resolve audit findings.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support for professional development.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment within the accounting team.
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Develop and document accounting policies and procedures.
- Manage the organization's cash flow, optimizing the allocation of funds for operational needs and investments.
- Identify and assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Monitor and manage the organization's insurance policies.
- Evaluate and implement financial software and systems to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Communicate financial information and insights to senior management, board of directors, and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial support for strategic initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly desirable.
- Several years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial or director-level role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance regulations.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
