Hollowick is seeking a talented Production Planner to join our growing team This position is responsible for keeping machines in top working order and troubleshooting equipment when issues arise.
What will I do as a Production Planner?
Plan and prioritize materials requirements utilizing MRP, Kanban systems, and reorder. Set up and maintain vendor information in system. Monitor vendor performance. Coordinate inventory cycle count activities.
What are the job responsibilities?
§ Plan/forecast material requirements to meet customer service and production needs utilizing various tools in the GP system, including reorder points, PO Gen and MRP.
§ Monitor and revise Kanban levels as required.
§ Source new vendors as necessary; set up and timely maintain accurate vendor information in GP.
§ Create and release purchase orders in a timely manner to meet production requirements.
§ Develop, document, and implement procedures related to inventory and vendor management.
§ Monitor vendor performance, including quality, on-time delivery, inspections, and responsiveness; research and communicate problems to management in a timely manner.
§ Initiate, communicate and coordinate inventory cycle count activities; process inventory adjustment in GP in a timely manner; manage physical inventory activities.
§ Expedite materials as required.
§ Create and manage daily priorities for glass production.
§ Create and document bills of material and routings.
§ Serve as backup to Customer Service Reps.
§ Assume additional responsibilities as needed.
§ Work effectively as a team member in a multi person Administrative/Customer Service Department.
§ Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area; responds appropriately to 5S audits as required.
§ Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
§ Actively participates in improvement initiatives within scope of Job Description.
§ Support company goals within scope of Job Description.
§ All other duties as assigned.
