Team/Function Overview


This Senior Vice President within the Risk Framework Compliance function of the USPB Risk CAO organization is a senior position responsible for driving execution of strong risk management for US Personal Banking, Wealth Management, and consumer portfolios in Citi Legacy Franchises (LF) - through organizing and facilitating effective reviews, developing and executing comprehensive executive communications plan including newsletters, keeping USPB Risk CAO leadership and key partners across 1st & 2nd LOD accountable for committed deliverables.


Given the scale and complexity of the businesses and functions involved, and they are all being transformed, this role requires a dynamic, agile and articulate leader passionate about brining groups together to define and progress comprehensive risk management strategy in a dynamic, demanding, agile team with fast changing needs.

This role will need to be adept at working in this environment, handle ambiguity and complexity well, be able to deliver on multiple responsibilities and most importantly be extremely 'hands on'.

This is a senior SVP role based in NYC 388 Greenwich location


Key Responsibilities:


  • Organizing and facilitating strategic management sessions, driving agenda for regular strategy meetings, preparing and executing strategy summaries and roadmaps, and supporting updates to executive management and regulators.
  • Develop, coordinate and execute comprehensive strategy communications plan to inform and engage stakeholders across 1st & 2nd LOD including CEO, CRO, Product/Business heads and Risk Managers.
  • Drive strategy improvements and oversee translation of strategic vision to execution plans through partnership with Risk and Business SMEs across 1st & 2nd LOD.
  • Keeping USPB Risk CAO leadership and key partners across 1st & 2nd LOD accountable for committed deliverables.
  • Work with USPB Risk CAO leadership to support the People, Process and Execution strategy as well as the Communication strategy for the department.
  • Lead the delivery of assigned risk oversight strategic initiatives including all phases of discovery, business process transformation, and achieving final operationalization to realize strong risk management.
  • Analyze and evaluate risk framework and risk management business processes, anticipate requirements, and identify areas for transformative / digitization improvements for effective and efficient integration of consumer and wealth business and risk practices.
  • Lead role based strategy design including providing inputs to transformation programs on business requirements for analytics, calculations, dashboards and workflows to enable delivery of seamless risk user & role based journeys (from CRO to Risk Oversight Managers to Business Risk Managers)
  • Connectthedots: Identify thematic areas of review / analysis of emerging risks and share with key stakeholders to determine if selfidentified issues should be opened. Act and serve as thought leader to support delivery of simpler and stronger target operating model.
  • Regularly and effectively communicate with senior stakeholders, both verbally and written, the strategic vision of target state risk management strategy, as well as progress of path to strong effort.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience in a mix of the following functions: risk management and oversight, strategic consulting, policy and risk framework
  • Experience in retail /wholesale credit risk preferred
  • Strong experience in Risk including engagement with Internal Audit and Regulators, Exam and Issue Management
  • Experience in managing complex projects with diverse stakeholder groups
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, especially in powerpoint format
  • Ability and confidence in influencing senior stakeholders including CROs and MDs
  • Comfortable with independent review and challenge
  • Excellent judgment and independent decisionmaking ability
