    About this position:

    We are seeking a technical, self-motivated Software Developer to join our team to support an essential modernization program for the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Federal Student Aid. As a member of our Agile development team, you will support several complex and high-volume customer systems. The ideal candidate would have experience developing in Java and building web-based application front-end solutions in Angular.


    Salary Range: 130k-153k- commensurate with the candidate's skills, experience, location, and qualifications.


    On a day-to-day basis you will:

    1. Work as a member of a scrum team to develop, integrate, and deploy high quality reusable, testable, and efficient code including web-based front-end components and microservices with Java, Angular, Spring Boot, and REST API's
    2. Develop front-end interfaces to call microservices that include RESTful services incorporating both Angular and Spring Framework (IoC, MVC, Transactions, Security, and Batch)
    3. Write Unit Test frameworks (JUnit, Mocking frameworks), code coverage, and code review and integrating work with GitLab
    4. Work within a SAFe environment that includes consistent leadership support, continued learning education, refining user stories, providing internal and customer demonstrations of developed code
    5. Contribute within a SAFe environment including the Daily scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Retrospectives, Backlog grooming, Sprint/System Demos, PI Planning, and Inspect & Adapt events

    Required Education/Qualifications:

    • U.S. Citizen with existing or the ability to pass a Public Trust background investigation.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
    • 7+ of related experience in software development with primary focus on front end
    • 5+ years of recent experience in front end frameworks like Angular, React, Vue, or Svelte.
    • 3+ years of recent experience working in Angular 14 or above.
    • 5+ years of modern CSS and Sass experience, especially when writing in both component and global style methodology.
    • Experience with A11y and 508 Highly desired
    • Experience working in enterprise level applications with focus on cloud technologies - AWS Preferred
    • Experience with Java and developing/maintaining front-end components using Angular to call microservices
    • Experience working in an agile environment with collaborative processes in workflow, branching, code reviewing, and testing.
    • Knowledge of REST API, JSON
    • Experience testing front-end components using Selenium and similar tools
    • Experience using API test cases in SOAP UI, PostMan, or ReadyAPI.
    • Experience with common web development frameworks (Angular, Docker, React, Spring, , jQuery, Microservice Design, etc.)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with GitLab DevOps/CI/CD platform
    • Experience with an IDE such as eclipse.
