Description
Plainfield is one of the most diverse employers in Germany.

Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 professions nationwide who want to become even better with us.

We are looking for you for the 3-year apprenticeship as a train traffic controller and the additional qualification in network dispatch (m/f/d) for DB InfraGO AG at our location in Karlsruhe.

The vocational school is also located in Karlsruhe and the training centers are located in Karlsruhe and Mannheim, among others.

With this apprenticeship, you will become a coordinator for our trains. Instead of being on the train, you will be in a control center (called a "signal box"). We have countless signal boxes throughout Germany.

You can monitor the trains in your area through screens or boards and use buttons, keys, and levers to influence their journey.

With the push of a button, you can set signals (traffic lights for the trains) to green or red and also switch tracks so that the trains can change tracks.

You will also have many other tasks that make you the most important team member for the train drivers. You will be in constant contact and exchange information about changes during the journey.

With your large team of around 40 colleagues, you will work in the operations center on an electronic signal box.

At your workplace, you can track the trains on many screens and control train traffic with a click of a mouse.
