Job Description:
All instructors at Texas State Technical College must meet the appropriate credentialing requirements set forth by the Southern Association for Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)


Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, instruct, and evaluate all coursework for assigned classes.
  • Assign final grades based on student performance.
  • Maintain regular office hours to provide support and guidance to students.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging instruction for courses in Art Appreciation, focusing on online delivery.
  • Instruct and evaluate students, maintaining accurate records of student progress.
  • Develop and implement curriculum in alignment with course objectives.
  • Utilize technology platforms such as Workday and Canvas for course management.
  • Keep the gradebook and feedback updated within one week of assignments.
  • Maintain open communication with the Academic Team Leads and Directors.

Educational Qualification:

  • Doctorate or Master's degree of Arts or Master's degree with a concentration in Arts (a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline)

Additional Qualifications:

  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in utilizing technology for course delivery and management.
  • Previous college teaching experience (preferred).
