Position Summary
1st Shift: 6am-230pm Monday-Friday (Flexibility for Overtime)

Oversee and manage the overall organization and functions of the dark room and washout room. Inputs orders into the software

  • Stokkup schedule for proactive visibility of workflow and capacity. Always obtain a positive attitude and stay one step ahead. Communication is a big part of succeeding in this role and having passion for technology. This position juggles between two roles and leads the Pre Press department which keeps the spirits high and an overall highpaced energy.

Top Priorities

  • Follows procedures for proper coating, burning and exposing screens and records daily output.
  • Reports and documents screen issues and reports to the Production Manager on a daily basis.
  • All jobs on track with burn rate and schedule

Position Duties

  • Continuously assist in the reclaim role to maintain afloat with production needs.
  • Follows and keeps up with schedule for restretching screens that happens on a consistent basis where a steady flow of new and re stretched screens is coming in and leaving bi weekly
  • Be a team motivator and keep team in high spirits every shift
  • All jobs on track with burn rate and schedule
  • Inputs mesh counts and DTS machines used into StokkUp per job for Reorder accuracy
  • Follow and implement any and all safety regulations.
  • Keep the dark room and washout room organized and clean.
  • Follows all schedules and processes set by the scheduler to complete daily goals. Confirm all screens completed by marking job cards in stokkup Screens burned indicating a Green S for all locations.
  • Reduce scrap and increase efficiency.
  • Reports and documents screen issues and reports to the Production Manager on a daily basis.
  • Before burning double check artwork and LPI for the highest quality print, and information on the separations matches information on job sequence.
  • Follows procedures for proper coating, burning and exposing screens and records daily output.
  • Trained on all equipment: Kwio, exposing units, Uni-Kote emulsion coater, power washers, Developer and EcoTex.
  • Utilize "Stokkup" and our "RIP" software system to send files to DTS.

Qualifications/Skills

  • This position requires someone that is self motivated and organized in a fast paced environment.
  • Bilingual-English and Spanish
  • High School Diploma, basic computer skills.
  • Mac Computers, Shop management software, DTS screen makers, emulsion coater, exposure units, power washers.
