Position Summary:


This position is the liaison between the corporate office and the remote employees, making their human resources experience with the Company a positive one.

This position will interface with senior management, as well as line workers in the field.

  • Following and updating the Onboarding policy for new employees.
  • Following and updating the Off-Boarding policy for terminating employees.
  • Generating ads for open positions and recruiting duties.
  • Oversee the companywide conversion to electronic time keeping.
  • Maintain electronic employee files in the HR platform.
  • Semimonthly payroll processing.
  • Maintain and update as necessary the employee handbook.
  • Maintain and update various HR related policies.
  • Interface with labor counsel, as necessary.
  • Develop procedures for employee reviews and evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with various federal, state, and local laws and ordinances relating to employment.
  • Employee benefits administration.
  • Monitoring eligibility for insurance and 401k.
  • Keeping employees updated on changes, policies requirements, etc.
  • Oversee employee leave issues such as FMLA, CFRA, PDL, etc.
  • Maintain progressive employee discipline program.
  • Maintain company automobile use agreements.
  • Maintain corporate travel policy flights, hotels, cars, meals etc.
  • Maintain company per diem reimbursement policy.
  • Responding to SUI claims.
  • Responding to benefit audits.
  • Handling workers comp reporting and claims.
  • Assisting in review and creation of other operational policies.
  • Monitoring differences in compliance requirements in the different states in which we operate.
  • Review/revise company credit card policy.
  • Key Competencies
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics and cultural awareness.
  • Resourceful, problemsolving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR issues.
  • Able to use discretion when handling confidential files and situations.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed.
  • Experience working in an HR department.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detailoriented and resourceful mindset.
  • Knowledge of HR state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Physical Requirements
  • Has the ability to work at the corporate office in front of a computer screen/typing approximately 90% of a typical working day.
  • Has the ability to bend, reach and lift boxes and office supplies up to 30 pounds.
  • Education & experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Minimum four years of HR related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • SHRM certifications preferred.

Salary range:
$29.00 to $35.00 per hour, DOE

Schedule:
Monday thru Friday, 40 hours per week
