Necessary Experience:

• Past experience working in a Medical Practice required (
  Ophthalmology experience
  a huge plus)
• Must have reliable transportation and ability to work fulltime; Monday
• Friday 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

Must be Tech-Savvy and EMR/EHR Literate (or able to adapt quickly) -experience with Modernizing Medicine/EMA
highly preferred but not required


Skill Requirements:

• Effectively manage patient intake and office flow
• Current working knowledge of or ability to quickly familiarize with ophthalmic terminology and diagnoses

Must be able to triage and manage multiple tasks in a high-volume clinic while maintaining a clear line of communication with the Doctor, Technicians, and Patients; ensuring patients are being seen in a timely manner
:

• Checking patients in and out efficiently; ensuring that copays and balances are collected, patient followup appointments are scheduled appropriately and confirmed the day before
• Understanding of Medical Billing & Coding a huge plus.
• Experience with surgical coordinating/scheduling a huge plus.
• Experience using Eyefinity and billing VSP is highly preferred, as well as familiarity with other insurance websites such as Availity, Navinet, and Blue Shield

Pay:
$ $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
