Position - Material Handler

Job Location - Appleton, WI

Starting Date - Immediate, 08/28/23

Employment Term - Temp-to-Hire, Direct Hire

Employment Type - Full-Time

Work Hours (Shift) - 1st Shift (7:00am - 3pm)

Starting Pay - Depends on Experience, $18 per hour, $37,440 Annual Salary

Required Education - High School Diploma/GED

Required Experience - At least 1 years of experience

The purpose of this position is to perform Material Handling tasks within the plant to support machine production schedules, finished product shipping/ receiving, and recycling/ waste removal activities.

Equipment:

Safely operate a variety of material handling equipment such as forklifts and roll clamps.

Operate various scales, computer systems, and wrapping machines.

Production Support:

Promptly and effectively supply all converting machines with appropriate raw materials.

Properly tag and stage finished goods for accurate inventory tracking.

Supply finishing materials to machines including skids, cores, and wrappers.

Issue recycle/waste receptacles to production machines.

Shipping & Receiving:

Load/unload raw materials & finished goods from semi trucks & effectively communicate with the drivers.

Continually inspect the quality of all inbound and outbound shipments.

Weigh and count specified material, and record information.

Warehouse:

Ensure product is properly labeled to maintain product flow and prevent distribution disruptions.

Read material pull sheets & orders, determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and execute accordingly.

Scan, move, and organize material in and out of inventory in an accurate manner, completing recording sheets as necessary.

Stack raw materials and finished goods safely to heights of 20 feet or more.

Miscellaneous:

Maintains a clean, safe, organized work area.

Perform pre-shift inspection and cleaning of equipment and lift trucks to ensure overall safety and efficiency.

Multi-task in a high production output environment.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must have 1 st and 2 nd shift availability.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. multiple time in an 8- or 10-hour shift.
Ability to bend twist, kneel, squat throughout an 8- or 10-hour shift
Operate effectively in a fast paced, team environment.
