We invent: The team of sludge incineration is responsible for the technical and economic success of VERA. Together with the 14 colleagues assigned to the technical department and the workshop, you contribute to the smooth operation of the sludge incineration and thus significantly to the success of HAMBURG WATER.

In this position, you will be intensively trained to take on the role of group leader. You will shape the transition phase as a plant engineer and thus gain a comprehensive understanding of the plant and its components.

What you will do with us:

Manage the team and the VERA plant in terms of technical and organizational aspects
Comply with regulations for occupational safety and health protection, as well as permit and emission requirements
Ensure a continuous and trouble-free workflow
Continuously optimize energy consumption, especially with regard to the energy self-sufficiency of the entire wastewater treatment plant
Develop guidelines/annual programs for sludge incineration while ensuring maximum availability

What you bring with you:

Completed degree in power plant, energy, process engineering or comparable knowledge and skills
Leadership experience and management skills with a strong
