    Job DescriptionLocation: Various Locations / Remote Options Available Job Type: Full-Time About the Role

    As a Ratings Associate, you will play a critical role in assessing the creditworthiness of various entities including corporations, financial institutions, insurance companies, and sovereign governments. You will contribute to the development of ratings criteria and methodologies, perform analytical reviews, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of rating processes and results.

    Responsibilities
    • Ratings Analysis: Conduct thorough quantitative and qualitative financial analysis to support the assignment of credit ratings. Analyze financial statements, market trends, industry data, and economic indicators.
    • Research: Perform detailed research on specific sectors, geographic regions, and thematic issues affecting credit quality. Prepare reports and presentations that summarize research findings.
    • Methodology Development: Assist in developing and refining rating methodologies, models, and frameworks to improve rating accuracy and relevancy.
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior analysts and other stakeholders in the ratings process. Participate in meetings with issuers and investors to discuss ratings, gather information, and present findings.
    • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation supporting rating decisions and processes. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
    • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training to enhance professional skills and stay current with industry developments.
    Requirements
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.
    • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, credit analysis, or a related field. Experience in a ratings agency is a plus.
    • Skills:
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
      • Ability to interpret complex financial information.
      • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Technological Proficiency: Comfort with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with financial analysis software and databases is advantageous.
