Duties Description


The incumbent will assist with office assistant duties for the Bureau of Solid Waste Management, Bureau of Waste Reduction & Recycling, Bureau of Hazardous Waste & Radiation Management and Bureau of Pesticides Management within the Division of Materials Management.

The incumbent may be assigned duties for any of the four Bureaus, as determined by their supervisor.

Specific duties will include assuring timely and accurate completion of Bureau & Division correspondence; Commissioner letters; I-expense reports; travel arrangements; telephone coverage for the Bureau and occasionally for the Division; appropriately responding to the public; processing and delivery of mail; maintenance of certain databases; and e-filing of key documents.

All tasks are to be performed in accordance with Division policies and procedures.

Telecommuting may be available, will be discussed at interview.

This is a seasonal, hourly appointment with an anticipated end date of 3/31/2025. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date. Actual work schedule, duties and travel requirements may vary and will be discussed at the interview.
