We are seeking an experienced
Project Manager to join our team in the
Houston,
TX area.

Responsible to assist Program Manager/Director to extend clients/owners capabilities in the project organization, planning, programming, administration, and design/construction management of buildings, infrastructure, and facilities.

Work on entire range of project activities from start to finish as appropriate (initiation/feasibility, planning, design, construction, start-up, acceptance and turn over, close out) utilizing project management tools, techniques, procedures, and processes, with the goal of meeting or exceeding project objectives (scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client/owner satisfaction).

Observe construction to verify the contractor is maintaining the published schedule and quality control efforts.

Manages and schedules project meetings and creates minutes and action items to track and follow through to completion to ensure all project members are fulfilling their assigned requirements.


Duties

  • Assists with the development/review of contracts and terms and conditions, maintenance of the risk register/CPR or change order log, and project quality plan including quality control and quality assurance during design, construction, and commissioning
  • Reviews project drawings and specifications, contractor's construction GMP pricing, proposed subcontractor buyout, RFIs, change order pricing, submittal status, reports and A/E additional service & reimbursable requests.
  • An advocate for the owner and makes recommendations to the owner relating to owners best interests.
  • Assist in the selection criteria for design and construction resources and assist in evaluation and negotiations.
  • Assist with furniture, fixtures and equipment requirements and coordination for incorporation in the project.
  • Contributes to a teamwork approach to the project.
  • Develops ongoing communications between all parties.
  • Participate in learning opportunities.
  • Follows developed project plan.
  • Coordinates design activities.
  • Assist or conducts project related meetings, and represents the client/owner as requested in all meetings.
  • Monitors scope, schedule, budget, and quality for variance and corrective actions.
  • Provides timely reports and notices to all stakeholders on project requirement, scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Keeps Direct Report informed on project status, risk issues, and corrective actions.
  • Assists with participation and support of company's strategic plan initiatives in committee or lead role.
  • Assists with business development, as required.
  • Perform other Duties as assigned

Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or GED Certification.
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management and Five (5) years' experience in managing commercial construction projects either as an Owners Project Manager or as a General Contractor.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and experience with Program Management Software preferred.
  • Posses a current valid state issued drivers and meet company's auto insurability requirements.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Must have working knowledge of construction principles, practices, means and methods.

Understanding of procurement methods, construction cost estimating, change control systems, value engineer process, project performance analysis, risk registers, and the design phase and process.
