Job Overview


The person having this position must possess good communication skills, have the ability to resolve conflict, and have a thorough understanding of LINE policies, procedures and expectations.

Because of the fluctuating demands of the company's operation, it may be necessary that each

employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your position, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you.

Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Greet every guest with a smile and maintain eye contact
  • Must be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
  • Ensures total guest satisfaction
  • Shares useful and engaging information on the hotel for guest experience
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes adhering to the proper dress code when working
  • Establish and maintain good communications and team work with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel
  • Responsibly drive the company car within a 3-mile radius from hotel property when requested by the front desk
  • Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism which includes accommodating special requests whenever possible, resolving customer complaints, assisting customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc.
  • Open vehicle doors and property doors for guests and employees
  • Greet all guests passing through lobby and offer assistance
  • Escort guests upon arrival; during transit provide genuine interest and anticipatory service towards guest
  • Create a warm, friendly, and memorable experience for all guests
  • Assist with adjusting reservations and guest requests
  • Maintain constant communication between all departments as needed
  • Possess knowledge of all hotel services and amenities
  • Responsible for maintaining front office/lobby appearance while on duty
  • Maintain post in the front desk/lobby area to assist guests
  • When not driving guests, assist with front desk duties which can include checking in and out guests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned which may include but is not limited to accepting dry cleaning from guest and secure for pick up by dry cleaning company, delivering clean laundry, guest mail/messages or sundry items to guest rooms
  • Understand all fire/safety procedures and provide necessary assistance to guests and employees in the event of an emergency
  • Participate in scheduled departmental meetings as requested
  • Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and verbal instructions
  • Be familiar with all safety and emergency procedures including OSHA requirements

Knowledge, Requirements and Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Two (2) years related experience in hospitality or service industry preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to maintain a valid CA driver's license
  • Clean driving record

Working Conditions/Environment

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  • The person having this responsibility may have to lift up to 50lbs on an occasional basis
  • The person having this position may have to stand for eight (8) hours, stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for more than five (5) hours per day
