    *We have an immediate need for Line Cooks at our Little 5 Points location in the Atlanta, GA area.


    In this Line Cook position, you will accurately and efficiently prepare hot food products as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking.

    You will also perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating, garnishing of cooked items, and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates.

    *Line Cook Responsibilities Include:


    • Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
    • Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
    • Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.
    • Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
    • Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area.
    • Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
    • Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly.
    • Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
    • Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assists others in closing the kitchen.
    • Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty.
    *Qualifications Include:


    • 21 years of age or older
    • 1+ years of experience in high-volume restaurants
    • Excellent punctuality and attendance
    • Team player
    • Ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment
    • Commitment to 100% guest satisfaction
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Detail-oriented regarding cleanliness.
    • Ability to perform tasks according to the standards outlined in Fulton County health code.
    • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and be able to use stairs, reach, bend, lift, and carry.
    • Ability to take direction and accept constructive criticism.
    • Ability to keep a cool head during the craziest of shifts.
    *The Vortex* is Atlanta's premier bar and burger joint. We grill up the best damn burgers in town, offer a huge selection of beer, spirits and specialty cocktails, and serve some ridiculously indulgent bar food. Service is hospitable but may also be a little quirky or sassy at times.
