Job purpose:


This position is mainly responsible for pickup and delivery of goods and materials from company warehouses, jobsites and supply houses throughout the day.


Job responsibilities:


  • Drive various sized trucks, typically a 28' flatbed daily in making deliveries of equipment and materials to the appropriate worksite and/or location.
  • Assist in loading and unloading supplies and/or equipment for delivery.
  • Use foresight and organization to plan and execute optimal routes for deliveries.
  • Communicate with jobsite personnel to maximize efficiency of deliveries.
  • Practice safe driving habits, following all traffic rules and regulations.
  • Work quickly and efficiently.
  • Must be honest, reliable, and hardworking.
  • Must have a great attitude and effective communication skills with coworkers, management, and suppliers. Perform related duties as required.

Qualifications:


  • 5 years driving experience, with large truck experience preferred, but not required.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable.
  • Clean DMV record.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • Willing to learn and engage in work and tasks given.

Working conditions:

This is a 40 hour per week, full-time position.

Daily job hours fluctuate but are generally 6:00 AM to 3:00PM or 7:00AM to 4:00PM with a minute daily lunch break.

Overtime and weekend work hours are dependent on company work load.


Physical requirements:


  • Perform labor seven hours or more each shift.
  • Lifting heavy objects with and without assistance (objects are sometimes elevated from floor level to above shoulders).
  • Lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; frequent carrying of heavy objects short distances.
  • Bending at waist and knees; reaching, grasping/handling, stooping/crouching.
  • Seated in driving position for multiple hours as necessary.
