The Outpatient Clinic LPN (64 hours per pay period).**-
Full Time with Benefits:

Provides assistance to the Insurance Verification and Preregistration departments as needed.
Attends meeting and training sessions as required.
Establishes and helps maintain a clean, safe environment for his/her area.
Starts patient file assuring appropriate paperwork is in place. Organizes and maintains files.
Directs patients to proper location using telephone etiquette.
Distributes schedules to appropriate departments. Contacts departments regarding any changes to

schedules.

Assists registration in obtaining proper diagnosis.
Proficient is using the Saint/Star computer system.
Prepares reports and other documentation as required.
Performs other duties as assigned/required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Formal Training Required:
Must be a high school graduate with Licensed Practical Nurse degree.

Experience Required:

Approximately three to six months on the job experience necessary in order to acquire and effectively utilize knowledge of unit and departmental policies and procedures, and to fulfill established quality and quantity standards for the job.

Licensure Required:
Currently licensed in the State of Indiana as a Practical Nurse.

Other:

Good verbal communication skills necessary in order to instruct and comfort patients and their families, maintain effective contacts with a variety of Hospital personnel and written skills to complete documentation.

Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient (infant, child, adolescent, adult, or geriatric) served on assigned unit/department.
