About the Role
The Quality Assurance Specialist plays an integral role in supporting the Refugee Services program activities. They review case files and client documentation to ensure their quality and compliance with all program requirements.

They also assist with entering client data into RS databases, referring clients to other programs within the Refugee Services department, and other support as needed.


Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all program requirements within the Refugee Services department and review and analyze eligibility documentation for new client enrollments in Refugee Services programs.
  • Support Refugee Services program, quality assurance of case files and services provided, and monthly reporting.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments with each newly arriving client in the US and refer to additional services as needed.
  • Assist in data entry and review and provide overall support for the services enrollment process.
  • Provide information, referral, and handson assistance to clients and staff to resolve various needs.
  • Ensure compliance of documents and activities provided in clients' case files and RS databases and as required by program guidelines.
  • Refer refugee families to Employment, Match Grant, RCA, ESL, and other appropriate programs.
  • Maintain case files on each client served and document all activities per program guidelines.
  • Provide interpretation and transportation to clients as needed.
  • Pick up refugees from the airport as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience working with refugee and immigrant populations.
  • Fluency in one of the refugee languages (Arabic, Spanish, Kiswahili, Lingala, Kinyarwanda, Kirundi, Russian) is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills supported by attention to detail skills.
  • Capable of developing and implementing quality assurance standards.
  • Ability to communicate with other team members to solve problems.
  • Understanding governmentissued documentation and understanding services for eligible categories.
  • Must enjoy working in a diverse office environment with clients of all backgrounds.
  • Energetic, selfmotivated team player.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including some late nights and weekends.
  • Must be willing and able to drive a 12passenger van.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and automobile liability insurance.
