    We are seeking an experienced, motivated rentals depot manager for our Chicago, IL location to plan and execute on innovative solutions for customers across a large demographic area.


    OPERATIONS:


    Establishes, assigns, and adjusts work methods and procedures to meet schedules using knowledge of capacities and capabilities of depot personnelInsures technician's daily activities are scheduledPerforms regular depot audits to ensure quality equipment repair and testing.

    Communicate withTechnicians regarding improvements or areas of concernOversite and management to ensure timely and accurate depot purchasing, booking, invoicing, and collections process.

    Financial responsibilities include collecting quotes from vendors for parts or repair options and communication with Regional Leadership concerning "Best Fix Options."Ensures budgeting guidelines are met; prioritizes expenditures to stay within budget.

    Assist sales department in selection and application of proper equipment and accessories for complex rentals.
    Provides technical support to the sales department, both at the depot and job site visits.
    Engages directly with external customers and vendors when a conflict or issue occurs.

    Coordinates with suppliers, contractors, engineers, and others concerning equipment operations or maintenanceInitiates measures to improve methods, equipment performance, and quality of work.

    Inspects work in process to ensure its completion within allotted time limits and for acceptable quality standardsConducts formal operations meetings regularlyEnsures fleet readiness, accessories, and spare parts inventories are at acceptable levels and that equipment fleet, accessories are accurate and up to date in the systems.

    Reviews all written labor documents regularly.

    Directs and guides the lead service techs to prioritize labor hours on a daily and weekly basisSALES:
    Manage the sales function, ensuring strong customer relationships are established and maintained while also driving employees to achieve business goalsPromote team selling and expansion of existing relationships across divisions and/or geographic areasCoordinate engineering and sales support activities to facilitate offering and supporting quality products and servicesDevelop an environment to create and sustain a highly engaged teamReview estimates to ensure accuracy and appropriate method to meet company and customer objectivesAssist employees in determining margins, identifying resources, and assessing future potential business; participate in selling to large/key accounts as neededNetwork with areas, regions, and corporate headquarters to increase knowledge of offerings and creating opportunities for employees to do the sameProvide input for best practice work and encourage employees to incorporate new ideas into projectsDevelop sales forecast and provide input to budgetIdentify new market opportunitiesParticipate in the development of long-range sales planning and growth strategies

    Basic Requirements:
    High School Diploma or GED5+ years' experience in an industrial, or manufacturing or Construction environment3+ years of Management experienceA valid driver's license

    Occasional travelPreferred Requirements:
    BA/BS in business or a degree from a technical college preferred.
    Rental Management experienceInterface with clients on a constant basis in a highly professional mannerSuperior follow-up and follow-through skills#LI-On
