Job Description
This seasonal role is dedicated to overseeing facility operations and promises an exciting experience. Responsibilities include daily maintenance of the splash park, conducting chemical testing, and logging data into Digiquatics. You'll also coordinate and supervise the setup and takedown of equipment and furnishings for various activities such as classes, programs, rentals, and special events. Monitoring on-site staff performance, addressing mechanical and staff performance issues, and delivering exceptional customer service are also part of the role. In the absence of Directors, you'll take on additional responsibilities including daily custodial tasks, equipment care, overseeing inventory and safety programs, conducting routine facility inspections, and performing some custodial duties. Additionally, you'll assist the Aquatics Director and Assistant Aquatics Director with staff planning and training, and be ready to fill in for any position at the facility in case of a no-call/no show by other staff members.

Work Schedule
Rotating work schedule, up to 40 hours a week, with another facility manager. Work hours are during the months of May through September from 8 am to 8 pm 7 days a week.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Work typically involves the ability to physically perform the basic life operational functions of stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions. Work necessitates visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned. The employee is subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, oils, noise, extreme heat and vibration. The employee is in contact with potentially infectious bodily fluids during the performance of duties such as when providing first aid care and facility cleaning. Working conditions include both inside and outside environmental conditions.
The City of Burlington does not offer benefits to part-time positions which require less than 1000 work hours per calendar year.
