  • Wolfspeed is seeking a Facilities Operations Manager to lead the facilities operations and process control team at our new location in Siler City, NC – the world's largest silicon carbide materials factory. In this role you lead our facilities operations and automation engineering teams accountable for process control, control system infrastructure, data analytics and control room operations. You will partner with other facilities leaders to develop strategic capital plans and objectives aligned to company business strategy. You also promote a safety and quality mindset to your teams through continuous improvement of processes, policies, and procedures.

  • Leads a team of engineers, coordinators, and technicians fostering a collaborative and safe work environment.
  • Oversees continuous operation (24/7/365) of utility systems and is accountable for final quality of utilities delivered to internal customers per the control plan.
  • Manages the organization to develop and utilize SPC to measure & improve performance.
  • Builds and maintains operator training programs and career development to enable deep understanding of system operation.
  • Oversees Contingent labor force that operates and maintains Gas and Chem operations,
  • Ownership for all control system infrastructure and protocols, implementing best known change control and cyber security methods.To include OT network, SQL database and application servers, data analytics, Ignition developers.
  • Partners with Maintenance and Engineering to identify, coordinate, and execute planned and unplanned maintenance across site. Mitigates risk points sustain continuous in-spec operation.
  • Ensures operational continuity through effective shift pass down and daily operations meetings.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field (or)
  • Associate's degree with ten (10) years of experience
  • At least two (2) years of leadership experience or excellence demonstrated by progressive roles or promotions.
  • Expert knowledge of process controls systems and their implementation within industrial facilities. DCS, PLC, SCADA, ISA Standards, High Performance HMI, industrial networks, cybersecurity and SQL database.
  • Experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing or similar high-tech environment such as oil and gas, chemicals, or pharmaceuticals. (cleanroom, central plant, process cooling/vacuum/gas &chem)
  • This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
