- Complying with codes, regulations, and directives related to building operations and safety.
- Performing day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance, as well as reviewing work orders, estimating time and materials, and ordering necessary supplies using a CMMS.
- Installation and modification of building equipment systems and troubleshoots and repairs various systems such as plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC/R.
- Inspect new installations for compliance, be responsible for outside contractors, support energy management programs, and maintain lighting systems.
- Handle grounds maintenance tasks and perform furniture assembly, welding, carpentry, and locksmith tasks as needed.
- Respond to emergencies, serving as a mentor to other technicians, reporting daily work activity, and completing assigned duties are also part of the job.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or trade school training.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record with periodic checks
- Possess necessary skills to functionally operate a "full size" van/truck
