Our wide variety of offerings provide cost-effective options to a kitchen of any size. Edible Cuts is growing and we are currently hiring for Logistics Coordinator to join our Shipping Department.


The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning and coordinating the routing schedule for each delivery vehicle, overseeing the loading process and managing drivers and the fleet.


Shift: 3am-11:30am Mon-Fri, some weekend availability required

Responsibilities:


  • Plan the delivery of routes to be taken by each driver in the delivery of goods and products to customers. Determine needed stops and most precise use of available trucks to most efficiently meet delivery demands.
  • Incorporate customer delivery demands in terms of delivery time into the routing schedule in an effort to most effectively and efficiently utilize the fleet and to reduce the cost of delivery related expenses.
  • Determine the most appropriate utilization of truck space in terms of route assigned, pallet count and stops to be made, customer delivery demands and unloading efficiency.
  • Route the load sheet to the loaders in an effort to enhance the effectiveness of the loading and delivery activities in the order of unloading for the drivers.
  • Prepare the driver route sheets/ invoices showing the route assigned and ensure that each driver is provided an accurate and understandable listing of stops for any particular day.
  • Prepare specific delivery request notes identifying particular loading and delivery activities as desired by customers or warranted by the delivery schedule in an effort to enhance the effectiveness of the delivery activity.
  • Identify and assign pick up orders to the appropriate delivery driver in an effort to ensure that the pickup is assigned to the driver who will be delivering to that particular area.
  • Update routes by reviewing routing sheets and noting any discrepancies or problems and adjusting the sheet for this information in an effort to enhance the efficiency of the routing and delivery activity for all routes and manage route changes, delays, accidents or traffic and transportation related situations.
  • Responsible for all shipping and routing of trucks and vans, including scheduling of drivers.
  • Provide coaching and training to drivers as well as maintaining constant communication and gathering feedback on customers and route needs.
  • Communicate with HR regarding injury and accident reports, attendance, etc.
  • Oversee receipt of daily invoices, check in keys, Ipasses, credit cards and other company property. Ensure all equipment is properly stored and secured.

Requirements:


  • High School diploma.
  • 3 years' related experience (transportation routing, scheduling, or logistics) and/or training.
  • Prior experience with Fleet management software. Knowledge with routing software Samsara preferred.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software programs: Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Knowledge of DOT guidelines and regulations.
  • Experience operating sitdown forklift and EPJ.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
