Business Development Manager, Federal IT Management - McLean, United States - Avineon, Inc.
Description
Responsibilities and Skill Requirements:
- Develop and execute strategic account plans in the federal civilian and defense markets.
- Identify, qualify, and capture business opportunities; develop longterm client and partner relationships; guide proposal development efforts; and perform other related business development activities delivering against an annual revenue target.
- Leverage an active network of past clients and partners.
- Demonstrate proven understanding of IT consulting and solutions and an indepth knowledge of the federal sales processes.
- Exercise exceptional communication, presentation, followup, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Establish and build relationships quickly at all levels within the client environment.
- Travel as necessary to serve client needs.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, marketing, or a technology field such as Computer Science or other similar degree.
- Three to five years proven, direct client engagement, business development experience with a focus on selling IT solutions in the U.S. federal marketplace.
- Demonstrated experience in working with, leading, and significantly contributing to client IT modernization efforts based on client goals, objectives, and requirements.
- Existing client relationships in the defense or civilian market.
