Working Hours: hours weekly, from Monday to Friday
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in implementing instructional plans and activities.
- Provide oneonone or small group support to students.
- Support students with academic tasks, ensuring understanding and engagement.
- Assist with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) as needed.
- Reinforce positive behavior and assist in managing challenging behaviors.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other team members regarding student progress and concerns.
- Provide supervision during various activities, including lunch, recess, and field trips.
- Assist in the administration and scoring of assessments under the guidance of the teacher.
- Collect data on student progress and behavior as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or coursework in education is a plus).
- Previous experience working with students in an educational setting.
- Patience, flexibility, and a passion for supporting diverse learning needs.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and other team members.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
