Summary
Custodial Maintenance works on and maintains areas of offices and industrial buildings to keep them clean and orderly.
Position Responsibilities
- Using janitorial and cleaning supplies, maintains work areas and removes waste material
- Maintains work areas of offices and industrial buildings to keep them clean and orderly
- Provide general custodial maintenance support to interior and exterior of the facility
- Responsible for the overall cleanliness of offices and customer areas
- Maintain office and shop cleanliness per written custodial specifications
- Maintain conference rooms in "customer ready" condition
- Provide backup to Facilities department when necessary and supports EH&S functions
- Responsible for the waste paper recycling program
- May be involved in other areas such as stocking supplies, moving furniture and supporting special projects
- Consistently demonstrates understanding of and adherence to Safety practices
- Use of tools and machinery related to Custodial Maintenance including Zamboni, floor polisher and waxer, and various hand tools
- Normally receives detailed instructions on all work under close supervision
- Other duties as assigned
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Typically requires less than 1 year of related experience
- Must possess a valid CA Driver's License and clean DMV record
- Basic computer skills to complete timekeeping, training and pull work orders
- Displays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives
- Takes ownership and responsibility for current and past work products
- Is committed to learning from mistakes and driven to improve and enhance performance of oneself, others, and the company
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills. Consistently demonstrates teamwork, collaboration and puts the success of the team above one's own interests
- Sitting, stooping, bending, walking, reaching, carrying, speaking, listening, climbing stairs (Constant), climb ladders (occasionally)
- Ability to lift and move items of various sizes and shapes up to 20 lbs. (Frequent) and up to 50 lbs. (Occasionally)
- Ability to work in an environment in which the job is performed, especially any unique conditions outside a normal office environment, such as working in hot, cold, dusty, etc. conditions (Occasional)
The salary range for this role is:
$16 - $24
