    Summary:

    Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is currently seeking Reception Manager candidates to join our Operations team This position works full-time 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Under supervision of the Practice Administrator, the Reception Manager manages the activities of Front Desk and Department Reception Staff across all BMC locations. Performs all related functions, including line level functions, according to established practice guidelines. Provides analytical and operational support to design and implement processes that improve department performance.

    • Day shift schedules are Monday through Friday. There are occasional voluntary four (4) hour shifts on Saturday mornings from 8 am - 12 pm for several primary clinics (Family Medicine and Pediatrics).
    • Experience working in both primary care and specialty care clinics.

    Job responsibilities:

    • Develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness and modifying activities as necessary.
    • Performs all facets of the hiring and performance management process of department personnel. Duties include but are not limited to: interviewing, selecting, training, evaluating performance as well as coaching, counseling and/or disciplining employees, as needed.
    • Conducts training for all reception and front desk new hires and provides continuing education sessions related to updates in processes and workflows.
    • Must have working knowledge of healthcare insurance; deductibles, copays, coinsurance, HMO, PPO, and financial responsibilities in collection payments to support and back up all staff with these tasks.
    • Works with all Site Managers to communicate policies and procedures for appropriate patient handling at all BMC front desk and reception locations.
    • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative work relationships with providers and staff.
    • Must be self-directed, highly motivated with strong organizational skills and work ethic emphasizing tact, diplomacy, flexibility and confidentiality.
    • Must possess knowledge of regulatory standards for compliance.
    • Intermediate proficiency and knowledge with computer systems and programs including but not limited to MS Office software.
    • Must be able to create and interpret a variety of documents and spreadsheets.
    • Must be familiar with physician scheduling software, Electronic Health Record (EHR) software, and payroll /timekeeping system.

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, organizational management, related field or 3-5 years' of relevant experience, required.

    Previous Experience:

    • Three (3) or more years, or progressively responsible experience working as a Reception or Call Center Manager.
    • Working knowledge of patient registration, insurance and financial service processes in a hospital or clinic setting.
    • Must have practical and technical knowledge of medical billing in a hospital or provider setting as well as related customer service experience.
    • Experience with managing healthcare staffing preferred.

    Location:

    • Boulder County, CO

    Salary Range:

    • $77,000 - $100,000/annually; depending on experience.

    This position will be posted for a minimum of three days, subsequently until filled.
