Tracey Road Equipment, Inc. is seeking to hire full-time
Parts Manager for our
Wilkes-Barre Branch. The Parts Manager is responsible for running a profitable and efficient parts department. This position will accomplish objectives using proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, and security.

  • Develop, enforce and monitor guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain price schedules.
  • Handle customer complaints in your area of responsibility immediately and according to the dealership's guidelines.
  • Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence.
  • Develop systems to constantly track, and be able to report on parts turnover, obsolescence, Gross Return on Inventory, Parts Aging, Guide Quantities, Lost Sales, Etc.
  • Establish individual parts inventory levels and balance them for maximum turnover, in cooperation with others.
  • Set and enforce a policy on the special ordering of parts.
  • Supervise stock order procedures.
  • Analyze departmental operations and storage layout and revise as needed for maximum effectiveness.
  • Coordinate a prompt, efficient and timely flow of paperwork, paying particular attention to parts sales per repair order, wreck estimates, issuance of credit memos, counter ticket filing, and purchase order matching and verification.
  • Direct shipping and receiving efforts to ensure timely processing. Establish S&R policy, wholesale routes, delivery timetables, checkin & inspection.
  • Coordinate parts returns.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with manufacturers that result in sound working arrangements.
  • Enforce safety requirements, including but not limited to forklift training and operation, processing of MSDS sheets on all products carried, and OSHA righttoknow.
  • Analyze sales, gross expense, and inventory on a monthly basis to maintain profit goals.
  • Ensure that all purchases are properly accounted for before payment is made.
  • Ensure that all parts are properly tagged to ensure that the dealership is recovering full credit from factory.
  • Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all department staff under your responsibility.
  • Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
  • Collaborate and delegate to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs.
  • Attend managers' meetings as needed.
  • Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that may affect parts operations.
