The county hospital, which is run by the district of Emmendingen, offers a wide range of treatment options with its six main departments (internal medicine with stroke care, orthopedics and trauma surgery, general and visceral surgery, gynecology/obstetrics, anesthesia/intensive care medicine, and radiology) as well as three affiliated departments (urology and ENT).

Our approximately 670 employees take care of approximately inpatient and outpatient patients annually in our hospital, which is a basic and standard care facility with 263 beds.

In order to reorganize the healthcare system in the district with modern and efficient structures, one of the largest construction projects of the district, the "Measures Package 2" project, was initiated in 2017.

The ongoing "MP 2" project includes the new construction and renovation of our operating rooms, the IMC ward, the central emergency department, the recovery area, the entrance hall, as well as the installation of the corresponding technical infrastructure.

With the preparation of the construction project "MP 3", which includes the renovation and restructuring of the patient wards, another milestone is currently being set.
