Sr. Project Manager

Direct Hire / Permanent

Location: Chicago, downtown - must be able to work 2 days onsite per week

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, executing, and overseeing high-impact projects that align with the organization's strategic goals.
Devise processes for project management frameworks, principles and staff development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, engage with stakeholders, and ensure successful project delivery from inception to completion for multiple high profile projects.
Develop and maintain project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements related to strategic initiatives.
Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment.
Participate and manage strategic planning, budgeting, contract initiation, and cross-project resource sharing, for strategic initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

Must possess 4-year degree.
7+ years of project management or strategic planning in a product organization or healthcare field.
Project management certification required.
Managed technical (software / product development) and non-technical (business processes) projects.
Has managed and reported on a portfolio or suite of projects.
Has improved processes and managed/mitigated risk at a departmental level.
Strong knowledge and experience with project management methodologies, tools and techniques (including Waterfall, Agile and hybrid project management methodologies) and an understanding as to when each is appropriate.
