    The Data and Applied Sciences Research team leads the way in pioneering AI and machine learning innovations, specializing in deep learning, NLP, (Natural Languare Processing) LLM/GPTs (large language models/generative pretrained transformers), graph models, AutoGPTs, chatbots, etc.

    Our research is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology, anticipating future needs, and seamlessly integrating AI (Artificial Intelligence) innovations into our product suite.

    We aim to deliver groundbreaking solutions that not only address current demands but also establish the groundwork for transformative advancements in data and applied sciences.


    We are seeking an experienced Applied Data Research Engineer to join our dynamic team who is passionate about the latest AI advancements and is willing to take on variety of challenges - from coding to UX (User Experience) development, model building, prompt engineering, and metric definition.

    Responsibilities

    Design, develop, and run machine learning systems.
    Create and implement machine learning models and algorithms to solve business problems.
    Develop, refine, and optimize AI-generated text prompts for accuracy, engagement, and relevance across various applications.
    Design end-to-end ML experiments and tests on large, structured and unstructured data sets.

    Collect, clean, and organize large datasets from multiple sources, perform large scale analysis and interpret complex data to identify patterns, trends, and insights that can inform business decisions.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions.
    Stay up to date with the latest trends and techniques in data science, machine learning, prompt engineering and automation.

    Qualifications


    Required Qualifications:
    Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)

    OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) related experience (e.g.

    , statistics, predictive analytics, research)
    OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field
    OR equivalent experience.

    Experience in problem solving and programming (Python or C#) with large data sets, using big data tools and scripting languages (SQL/PySpark/ KQL), as well as using ML (Machine Learning) and data analysis tool (Excel, Matlab, R, and/or PowerBI).

    Experience in using statistical/analysis/ML tools, defining, and implementing intelligent solutions on data.
    Experience with cross-group and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate solutions.

    Other Requirements

    Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.

    These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

    Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

    This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

    Preferred Qualifications


    Experience with deep learning/LLMs (Large Language Models) applied to areas such as graph learning, IR (Information Retreival), NLP (Natural Language Processing), computer vision, etc., is preferred.

    Experience in government regulations, business compliance, business processes in enterprises, legal discovery, etc.

    Applied Sciences IC- The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year.

    There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
