Key Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures while helping patients feel comfortable
• Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment
• Take dental radiographs (xrays)
• Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
• Provide patients with followup instructions following all dental treatment procedures
• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Dental Assistant Certificate where state regulations specify
• Xray certification where state regulations specify

Working Environment & Physical Requirements
This is a clinical working environment where potential exposure to hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens is possible. Requires prolonged periods of standing, leaning, and bending. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
