    Job Summary:

    The Buyer will be responsible for the procurement and buying activities for materials needed for our assembly and manufacturing processes. This role will report directly to our Supply Chain Manager and work closely with other functions in the manufacturing, engineering, quality, and sales teams. The ideal candidate has previous experience in an industrial setting and has basic working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Always promote safety and quality at our own and our suppliers facilities

    Place purchase orders and enter confirmations

    Monitor open purchase orders, expedite, or defer as appropriate to meet customer demand

    Apply sourcing policy and interface with supplier to provide specifications, plans, and information

    Interface with suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues

    Ensure activities are focused on relentless execution of continuous supply of goods and materials

    Communicate supply problems which may pose a risk or impact customers and operations

    Support inventory control within in assembly and manufacturing

    Maintain systems information related to purchasing master data

    Actively participate in supplier selection and performance reviews

    Develop ideas to support CIPS (continuous improvement process supply)

    Participate in kaizens in across the business

    Performs other job-related duties as assigned subject to reasonable accommodations

    Competencies:

    Ability to write routine reports and correspondences.

    Ability to run reports, interpret the data, and present to leadership

    Ability to look up information, interpret assembly drawings, and specifications

    Ability to use complex technical information to correctly identify materials

    Proficient in Syteline, MS office

    Is high-energy, resilient, self-motivated team player with the ability to multi-task

    Is experienced with material flow through a manufacturing facility

    Is willing to flex working hours to cover customer needs

    Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time and in person

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

    Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred

    1-3 years related experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience

    Moderate Excel working knowledge is required

    Experience in SAP is preferred

    Prior experience in Lean and Six Sigma continuous improvement methodologies preferred
