    We are looking for a technical team leader who wants to push themselves and our core software team to deliver best in market SaaS solutions.

    Who You Are:
    As our new Director of Engineering, we seek a rising star in the software industry.

    You exhibit excellent knowledge of the Software Engineering discipline, including hands-on knowledge of the latest programming languages, object-oriented programming, high-performance, fault-tolerant distributed systems, data structures and algorithms, operating systems, distributed DBMS and DB modeling, and access languages.

    Further, you will have experience working with large datasets in a Python/SQL environment. You have at least 12 years of software development experience and six years of experience leading development teams.

    This is a team environment where you will lead while working alongside other developers to further build our software lineup and complete contracted software solutions for engineers.


    Expected Duties:

    ResponsibilitiesTake Responsibility.

    Lead the team through example and take an ownership stake in the product roadmap planning, execution, and delivery.
    Delivery. Produce working, operational, high-quality software on a consistent basis.
    Architecture.

    Create a focus inside the team to tightly align with our Architecture practice to eliminate silos and cost.
    Management. Maintain team management structures for individuals, leads, and career progression. Be a steward of our budgeting in the space with our practices.
    Efficiency . Pride yourself on using what you have to the best of your abilities. Be it current talent, budget, or software stack – make the most out of everything before starting over.
    Scale Yourself.

    Building software is not easy and problems will constantly arise. This role requires multiplying your impact through coordination of solutions for operational problems, bugs, requirements, and processes. Be willing to take this on yourself and create more versions of yourself to deliver.

    Required Skills & Experience:
    Bachelor's in Computer Science12+ years of software experiencePortfolio of projects that demonstrate full stack software development (web, application, or game development) expertise with an understanding of data scienceExperienced in modern web development tools such as React, , NodeJS, ExpressExperience working with professional grade databases running on SQL such as PostgreSQL and SnowflakeStrong leadership skills – ability to motivate people, instill accountability, perform under pressure, and optimize the team's resources to attain the business goalsExcellent knowledge of new technology trends and its applications for new products in the marketplaceStrong understanding of Computer Science topics such as optimization and algorithms as well as AI/MLFamiliar with the design cycle and the concept of horizontal and vertical slicesUnderstanding of SQL code and ability to retrieve and store data safely through a back-endExperience with basic UX design and evidence of collaboration with design teamsStrong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiencesUnderstanding of server structure, routes, and securityExcellent programming organization and documentation habitsCapacity to communicate solutions with teammates and manage them to successStrong work ethic and desire to excel with a passion for continued growthNot afraid to innovate and propose new solutions
