Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Front Desk Supervisor.

As the first point of contact for our company, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk.

The practice has 4 offices located in Bay Shore, Commack and two satellite offices in Bethpage & Huntington.

The Commack location also has a surgery center, which is run by a separate team of nurses and medical assistants.


This individual is responsible for overview and supervision of patient in-flow and out-flow, patient education, collection of fees, and supervision of the front office, including training, and providing schedules to the Director of Operations and front desk staff.

Education and/or Experience Required:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 23 years experience in supervision of a medical front office operations, preferable.
  • Demonstrable skills in motivating and training professional staff.

Essential Skills and Abilities:


  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role, two (2) years minimum, preferable.
  • Knowledge of applicable operational and clinical functions.
  • Possess strong customer service skills.
  • Basic organizational skills to ensure a workable, efficient office including organization schedules, electronic paper records and files.

Responsibilities:


  • Shares the responsibility of the weekly schedules with staff, billing team and medical providers.
  • Trains and supervises front office staff (checkin and checkout).
  • Tracks front desk hours information and coordinates payroll with HR team.
  • Evaluates performance and recommends merit increases and disciplinary actions.
  • Assist in hiring and training.
  • Ensures adherence to departmental policies and procedures, including patient privacy.
  • Maintain departmental daytoday front office operations, monitor and prioritize workflow and efficient patient flow. Coordinates with Director of Operations to ensure a smoothly running office.
  • Prepares a monthly status report regarding front office performance, proposing solutions to any challenges being faced.
  • Resolve patient complaints, and answer questions regarding policies and procedures.
  • Actively participates as a front desk staff member, performing all daily responsibilities as needed.
  • Any other jobs as assigned by your supervisor or management.

Pay:
$ $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
