What We Need:
iHeartMedia is seeking a Part-Time Fill-In News Talk Show Host for a topical, news-oriented talk show on the radio. Content and coverage includes politics, news, entertainment, weather, sports, traffic, and other topics of interest.

What You'll Do:

Deliver news & politically oriented talk show, announces breaking news information when appropriate
Comment on matters of interest to the audience, interview topic experts and politicians.
Specialize in one type of music (e.g. classical, pop, rock, country and western, etc.).
Regulate program timing to make sure commercial breaks air on time\
Protect the station's license by censoring live programs and deleting words/phrases not permitted on air.
Check studio equipment for proper functioning and notify Engineering of technical malfunctions affecting the quality of the broadcast.
Handle emergency inserts (e.g. news updates and breaking stories, emergencies, alert system tests, etc.).

What You'll Need:

Socially informed and perceptive; uptodate and in tune with the local and national trends and/or specialized knowledge of topics/events related to onair discussions
Knowledge of conservative/libertarian political issues and idea
Pleasant, charismatic and wellcontrolled voice; excellent pronunciation
Wellrounded communication skills for conducting interviews
Ability to make others feel comfortable and open up on air
Excellent writing and editing skills; proficient in grammar
Proficient in media production and broadcast systems
Proficient in Microsoft Office and social networking
Available to host a talk show on an asneeded basis to cover vacations, sick days, holidays, and other planned and unplanned absences
Access to home studio or able to travel to iHeart Phoenix Studios or other iHeart Studio location 12 years experience as an announcer in a smaller market or college station environment
