    Position: **Senior Database Developer/Administrator**

    Overview:

    Kreative Technologies is seeking a **Senior DBA** proficient in database development and AWS cloud systems management. The ideal candidate must exhibit exceptional technical expertise in configuring and safeguarding databases effectively while demonstrating robust communication skills for interaction with peers, management, and government officials. The Senior DBA will play an active role in a collaborative environment, possessing problem-solving capabilities and the aptitude for research. Furthermore, the incumbent will be responsible for delivering training sessions and presentations, in alignment with government policies and procedures, with demonstrated experience in government IT settings.


    Responsibilities:


    - Develop, deploy, and secure AWS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Redshift, DynamoDB, and RDS software, identifying potential software enhancements or constraints in their area of specialization.
    - Automate system deployments and integrations utilizing AWS Cloud Formation and pipelines, adhering to top-tier orchestration and high availability principles for cloud resources, including databases and compute engines.
    - Implement robust security measures for database environments compliant with NIST and STIG standards, encompassing data encryption at rest, in transit, and in use through certificates and encryption mechanisms.
    - Conduct training sessions and presentations catering to various audiences, utilizing IT applications and governmental policies and procedures.
    - Ability to synthesize and assess information from diverse sources, formulate documents, and offer insights to foster prompt and accurate decision-making by leadership.

    Education/Skills/ Minimum Qualifications:


    - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
    - Minimum of 4 years of software projects experience as a database developer.
    - Active Security+ certification.
    - Proficiency in working with Microsoft SQL Server and RDS technologies.
    - Preferred experience in working within a DoD environment.
