JOB SUMMARY

Monday - Friday, 07:30am - 04:30pm
Manages sales prospects and customer needs, ensuring customer satisfaction. Converts customer opportunities into sales, effectively closing customer. Manages delivery of product in accordance with customer's lead time requirements. Effectively quotes customer maintaining proper sales margins.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Obtain product knowledge and understand product offerings in order to meet or exceed assigned sales targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers. Communicate with existing customers, build on present business, and expand our current customer base.
  • Provide good customer service and support by taking their information, researching the product needed, and making recommendations with supervisor approval.
  • Consult with the sales manager when assistance is needed to complete the sale and for job lead times.
  • Become proficient with company software used for processing orders. All opportunities and quotes must be entered into our CRM system.
  • Maintain CRM database system, current and up to date with correct contact information and complete all assigned tasks.
  • Attend trade shows to discuss product offerings with potential customers. Provide a professional and welcoming representation of the company.
  • Be prepared for oncall or after hours emergency orders as required.
  • Perform other duties as requested in order to achieve departmental and company goals and objectives.
  • Maintains safety standards & awareness in work facility.
  • Complies with company policies and uses systems effectively to perform duties in accordance with established processes.
  • Effectively manages sales projects from start to delivery maintaining minimum required sales margins. Follows up with customer, ensuring satisfaction.
  • Qualifies prospects. Secures documentation for legal and regulatory requirements (e.g. Tax compliance). Manages CRM data and tasks up to date.
  • Seeks out knowledge of company products, industry specific technology and familiarization with our specific product offerings. Demonstrates ability to manage customer needs and convert to sales.
May be modified from time to time. Other duties, tasks and work may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must understand the sales cycle
  • Strong computer skills; ability to learn and understand Group CBS computer systems to perform job tasks in an automated environment

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to team build, lead by example, motivate others to see and fulfill the organizational strategic direction and achieve the quality policy objectives.
  • Demonstrates selfcontrol by maintaining composure, using professional language, and maintains a positive attitude in difficult situations.
  • Is accountable and takes ownership of their work.
  • Sets and achieves career goals, including sales targets.
  • Punctuality is on time for scheduled training, assigned work schedule, organizational, and customer meetings. Demonstrating good time management skills. Manages personal scheduling in accordance with company policy and properly notifies manager in advance.
  • Software competencies include, Outlook, Word, Excel, CRM software, ERP software, vendor purchasing portals, and the ability to research and resolve customer's requirements via organizational product libraries and online OEM resources.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Proven sales record within industrial power distribution sector or a college degree in business or a related field of study preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is an office job and entails the physical demands associated with operating a telephone and computer (viewing monitor, keyboard, mouse)


WORK SCHEDULE


The work hours will be established between the manager and employee based on the scheduling and coverage needs of the company.

Work will require occasional travel, weekend, and/or evening work.

The schedule will generally be an 8-hour period between the hours of 8:00 am and 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday with one-hour break.
