Our client specializes in developing, constructing, and operating renewable energy solutions in various countries and regions throughout Europe. As they continue to experience rapid growth, they are expanding their presence by establishing branches and forming Joint Ventures in key European markets. To support this growth, they are seeking a Sole Legal Counsel for Germany who will play a crucial role in promoting digitally optimized green energy solutions.

Role:

Reporting to the General Counsel, the Legal Counsel will oversee and manage a range of regulatory, M&A, and commercial matters to support the Group's business expansion in Europe, with a specific focus on Germany.

You Will:

  • Provide expert legal and strategic advice to the Legal & Compliance team and management on a daily basis;
  • Participate in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts;
  • Review contracts with local municipalities, assist in negotiations with permitting agencies under federal renewable energy laws and related legislation;
  • Review and negotiate land-lease contracts;
  • Ensure compliance with Group policies by reviewing contracts, policies, and other legal documents;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and advise stakeholders on legal, commercial, and reputational risks in a practical and user-friendly manner;
  • Communicate with the Group's Corporate Secretary regarding activities in Germany;
