Job Summary:
  • This position focuses on providing top-notch clinical supervision for pre-masters students, post-masters associate-level providers, and Doctoral Practicum students in Psychiatry and/or Addiction Medicine departments.
  • Responsibilities include hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluation. Supervision involves competence-based supervision, reflective supervision, and other models as needed.
  • Supervisor may work across different medical centers regionally or for a local medical center and associated clinic(s).
  • Supervision will be 1-1, triadic, and group-based to meet various requirements.
  • Training and supervision in evidence-based practices will be part of the role.


Essential Responsibilities:
  • Provides high-quality clinical supervision following California Board requirements.
  • Conducts performance evaluations and provides training in key treatment modalities.
  • Addresses service, quality, and provider concerns related to supervisees.
  • Develops departmental policies to meet organizational goals and objectives.
  • Collaborates with Regional Mental Health Training Program team for placements.
  • Works with Academic Liaisons for student onboarding.
  • Analyzes departmental workload and improves productivity.
  • May provide psychotherapeutic services and conduct psychological assessments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two (2) years professional experience under a licensed psychologist or board certified psychiatrist.
Education
  • Ph.D./Psy.D./Ed.D. in Clinical, Counseling, Health, or School Psychology from an accredited university.
License, Certification, Registration
  • Psychologist License (California)
  • National Provider Identifier

Additional Requirements:
  • Must meet qualifications for clinical supervision per California Board of Behavioral Sciences or Board of Psychology.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and using a feedback-informed care model.
  • Excellent communication skills and knowledge of state regulations.
