The Role:


The Operatational Buyer will be executing and tracking orders with the aim of ensuring a timely, quality and resource-optimized supply of materials, goods, and services.


Your contribution to our vision (responsibilities):

  • Initiate initial purchase of new products and support supply chain and operations departments in purchase order logistics.
  • Recording, processing and tracking orders in the SAP system as well as in direct communication with suppliers.
  • Timely, quality and costefficient of procurement of materials, goods, and services.
  • Ensure material availability.
  • Entering and maintaining item master data such as prices, availability and delivery times.
  • Active communication and information sharing with requestors and suppliers.
  • Recognize and initiate preventive measures in the event of problems in the procurement process.
  • Consideration of inventory turnover.
  • General administrative tasks, e.g. processing and archiving documents, creation of evaluations and reports.
  • Material field responsibility with price negotiation.
  • Supplier comparisons to minimize material cost.
  • Collaboration, develop and leverage internal and external relationships to make a positive impact on the company.
  • Optimization of working capital and procurement costs by weighing order size.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by direct supervisor.

You bring:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years' experience working in purchasing/buying role or similar.
  • Teambased, solution focused with strong skills in analysis, high level of attention to detail, and comfortable with numbers and spreadsheets.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Strong time management and adaptability.
  • Ability to be accurate, precise and follow set procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Proficiency with MRP/ERP (SAP preferred) software platforms and Microsoft Office/365 (Outlook, Excel, and Word) required.
  • Language skills: English.
  • Clean driving record. (Able to drive upon request)

A Plus:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • CAA Certification (Certified Administrative Assistant).
  • Professional experience in purchasing, ideally in solar, semiconductor, automotive industry, and or mechanical engineering.
  • Bilingual / Spanish
