Duties:


As a Supervisory IT Specialist (INFOSEC), you will:

  • Manage a staff of security specialists performing duties on multiple projects and programs within the Department.
  • Serve as advisor to the Director, Enterprise Infrastructure Cybersecurity on telecommunications, cloud, and ICAM security policy for the Department of the Treasury and its Bureaus and organizational units.
  • Develop new insights into situations and applies innovative solutions to make organizational improvements; designs and implements new or cuttingedge programs and processes.

Key Requirements:


  • Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
  • A oneyear probationary period may be required.
  • A oneyear supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required.
  • Must successfully complete a background investigation.
  • All new hires will be required to comply with federal ethics laws. A review of financial or other interests may be conducted to determine if they create any real or apparent conflict of interests with official Treasury duties.
  • Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
  • Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
  • If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.
  • Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I9. Federal law requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires in the U.S.

Qualifications:


  • You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Specialized experience for the
    GS15: You must have one (1) year of specialized experience that has equipped you with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the
    GS14 level in the Federal service, public or other private sectors.
Specialized experience for this position includes all of the following:

  • Developing, defining, managing and documenting cyber projects;
    AND:
  • Using project management tools and skills to develop and manage indepth cybersecurity projects plans;
    AND:
  • Developing, implementing and interpreting metrics for the evaluation of cybersecurity program effectiveness and efficiency
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
