Join our team at Big Impact Tech as a Tier 1 SOC Analyst. This role involves rotational shift work as part of our 24/7/365 Security Operations Center. As a SOC Analyst, you will monitor various security tools and handle first-tier responses to security incidents.

You'll adhere to established procedures for detecting, classifying, and managing incidents, working under the guidance of our more experienced Tier 2 and Tier 3 personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor security systems for anomalies and respond to potential security threats.
• Classify and escalate incidents as necessary according to protocol.
• Generate and disseminate incident reports and maintain communication about ongoing incidents.
• Manage processes for incident reporting, including initial notifications, followups, and resolution activities.

Required Skills and Experience:

• At least 12 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
• Proven background in security engineering and monitoring is essential.
• Experience in cyber security event monitoring, triage, and escalation.
• Ability to produce detailed incident reports and manage eventrelated communications effectively.

Qualifications:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Selfmotivated with the ability to work independently.
• Relevant certifications such as COMPTIA Security+ or similar in networking or software engineering.
